The 27th May 2021 saw MX Bulk’s first foray into the Kamsarmax market with the launching of Urusula Manx at Tsuneishi’s Zhoushan shipyard, China. The 82,000mt vessel entered the calm waters of the East China Sea for the first time at 0745 local time before returning to the quay side for final fitting out.
Whilst current travel restrictions prevented an MX Bulk delegation from attending the launching ceremony in person, celebration was still possible in the Isle of Man thanks to a live broadcast from the shipyard. MX Bulk would like to thank our partners, both locally and remotely, for their exceptional efforts during construction under the difficult circumstances of the last year.
Delivery of Ursula Manx is expected on successful completion of sea trials in August after which she will become the largest vessel in the MX Bulk fleet prior to being joined by sister vessel Vorana Manx later this year.
